Swarm Aero develops technology for coordinating large numbers of uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) into autonomous swarms. The company's systems are designed to mobilize thousands of autonomous aircraft for military applications, as well as uses in logistics, disaster response, fire suppression, and humanitarian operations.

The company's core technical work spans several domains: on-aircraft autonomy, edge computing, sensor mesh networks, and command-and-control software. Its product line includes the Universal Swarm Node, which creates sensor meshes and edge computing infrastructure in-flight; browser-based command-and-control software that translates human intent into real-time vehicle-level behaviours; and an aircraft designed from the ground up for swarming, featuring on-aircraft autonomy capable of executing collaborative behaviours.

Swarm Aero's approach centres on distributing intelligence across the swarm rather than relying on centralised control, enabling coordinated operations at scale where each vehicle contributes to a shared situational picture and responds adaptively to changing conditions.
