VÃÆRIDION is developing the Microliner, a fully electric nine-passenger aircraft intended for regional air travel. The company was founded in 2021 and has grown to over 60 team members across locations in Munich and Delft. It closed a €14 million Series A funding round.
The Microliner features a glider-inspired wing, integrated modular batteries, and a multi-engine propulsion system. It is designed to carry up to 9 passengers over a range of 400 kilometres under instrument flight rules (IFR), with charging times under 40 minutes. The aircraft is being certified under EASA CS-23 standards.
The company's technical work spans electric aviation, aerospace engineering, aircraft design, battery systems, propulsion systems, and certification processes. VÃÆRIDION describes its approach as pragmatic, building on proven technologies and partnering with established industry leaders.
